No motor is from Lme callies crank rods etc Hinson has the swap kit I was talking to them if they have done a Turbo setup they said no I'm most likely going with 2 jz parts would be easier to get than rb26

I thought the same thing about my SR swap, but you would be surprised how many US companies carry or can order JDM parts with little to no hassle.

Would RB be a easier swap and what tranny would I need

You will run a rb26 with a 25 flywheel and tranny, just like how us 240 guys run it. And dont worry about getting parts, You can get anything in the states now, they are popular. There are 2 places on the west and east coast that keep rb parts in stock at all times. Ive ordered tons and tons of parts and always get them quick.

What am I missing here...

You have a 350Z you like the handling but want more power? You are thinking of spending 15K to swap some high stress high headache engine into a car with a suspension/drivetrain it was never designed for?

Why not just sell the 350Z and buy a c5 corvette? It already has an lsx in it and I would bet it has a beefier drivetrain than the 350z. I don't know how much 350z's weigh but c5s and definitely the c5z are pretty light- around 3000 lbs so you may need less power. How big of a tire can you fit on a 350z? I have 295s on my c5z and I *think* 335s will fit on stock fenders.

You can add a bolt on sts turbo kit for 8 grand or so / blowers for 4-6 / or whatever IPS charges for their turbo setups- tough to tell from their website...

All this assumes you are set on drag racing with IRS in the first place....

Im all about cool swaps but in this case I have to ask why? The motor you took out of the car can make all the HP you want. I rode in one owned by a total shithead faggot that just had a basic bolt-on single turbo kit and it was fast as hell. He didn't really have any supporting mods and couldn't drive for shit and that car accelerated hard enough to make me feel a bit woozy.

Who deals with RB 26 parts and who has a swap kit

rawbrokerage.com

I ordered my kit thru http://www.sykoperformance.com , hands down the best kit for any rb swap. I ordered mine thru ips and took around 6 months because of the demand for the parts, they are made to order type thing. In my old rb26 coupe I used mckinney mount kit , even tho they are nice guys and run an awesome business, I was not happy with the product. They even set me a differnet set of mounts and with the same results.

I do not know much about the lsx driveline, but the older nissan sports cars have beefy trannys, all you need is a dual or triple clutch and do not have to worry about it, depending on year of the car. Most the fast skylines and 240sx and Z drag cars if standard are running OEM gearboxes and this is sub 9 second cars. The Rb is somewhat new to everyone in the united states, but people are catching on to the potental. Even the US has a low 9 second nissan running a stock rb longblock and gearbox , and irs.

Should just keep the motor in the 350z and let injected performance build it.
