stolen 5.0
I absolutely love my Springfield TRP Operator, I got it for $1100 out the door at a steal, but damn that gun is badass. never handled a pistol that shot finer
EVILGTP98
Agreed, love my Operator, I know that when I need to put lead on target it will do it to perfection, Fowler saw mine shoot steel dinger target at 100 yards with it. I will own other pistols but I will never not own my 1911/thread.

Alty941647545539
Rock Island if you are on a budget. It's a great gun. If you've got some extra loot to spend though, Kimber is the way to go IMHO

Kinda wish Colt followed suit, but that would put them even further on backorder Might have to sell my soul to find a damn XSE in stock. Furloaf
I believe in buy once, cry once. That is why I spent more and got a Springfield Loaded instead of a Milspec for my first 1911. Good decision to wait longer.

That's how it is with most things. Advertising. Budweiser and Harley Davidson aren't the best in their fields but they have marketing/advertising power. cinergi
Decent buy, but you best Clenzoil the hell out of it and get some better mags to make it a formidable carry/defensive weapon.
RC K9
what's wrong with the mags it comes with?

RedRocket1647545505
what's wrong with the mags it comes with? They're not really that good. Get you some Wilson Combats. Better feeding with their improved follower, and, they squeeze in an extra round for you. They're about $25/ea, but well worth the money. I'm going ordering one of these just to see how it compares to the other Wilson mags I've got. I think their worth trying for $22 each http://www.cheaperthandirt.com/55310-36.html
