Big ten still won't be the best confrenece slim. Sec will and always will be the most dominant confrenece in all the ncaa. Why you ask, ill answer for you. Hs football is better down south.southeren states california, texas then ohio . Speed kills, especially when you have 12 months a yr to train outside. Makes a big difference. Big ten will be the 2nd best confrence, but no where near the sec.

That argument makes no sense. Players from all over the country, GO all over the country.

And it looks like some don't agree with you.

In 'Bama Loss, SEC Reign Likely Ends

South Carolina's 35-21 upset of then-No. 1 Alabama on Saturday not only ends the Crimson Tide's 19-game winning streak. It also means the Southeastern Conference's unprecedented poll-era run of four straight national titles is probably over. Yes, No. 7 Auburn and No. 9 LSU remain undefeated, and Alabama, now ranked eighth, could climb the ladder. But Auburn and LSU play each other on Oct. 23, and Alabama, even if it ran the table, will need help to get back to No. 2.

Only once before had a conference even won three straight titles, also the SEC, from 1978 to 1980. Even then Alabama split the first of those with Southern California. (Granted, conferences were smaller before the 1990s, and there were many more independent teams, which made it tougher for one league to rule.)

The irony, of course, is that the conference that's finally ending the SEC's streak is the SEC itself. The league's depth has been waning in recent years, but it has been re-established by LSU's thrilling upset at Florida on Saturday and the Gamecocks' takedown of Alabama.

The SEC's reward: a new No. 1 whom Southern partisans have little respect for—Ohio State.

The sec has won all the most recent. Ncg. They kill themsleves and no other confrence is known as the gauntlet. Oh btw yes players go all over, but majority of the players. That sign are players that belong to that confrence. I.e a hs kid. From fla is more likely to play within there ewgion over any other due to location, and family ties.

Conradictory? So have they always been the best or just recently?

Everything is cyclical. The SEC is on a donwslide, just like USC.

Ohio State has 44 players on it's current roster from out of state. 'Bama has 48 including players from Ohio and Michigan.

SEC HAS not and WILL not ALWAYS be dominant. That's absurd.

Here is a comparison of 40' times of OSU/LSU at the time of their NCG. SEC speed? I'm calling Mythbusters.

Speed has nothing to do with it. OSU rocked the fuck out of Oregon last year and Oregon came in as the "lightening fast SECesq offense".

OSU also just rocked a fast Miami team earlier this season. And as for speed, I assure you that none of those supposed "fast kids" from down south have speed such as Ted Ginn Jr and Brandon Saine who were track phenoms. We have speed but get no credit for it.

If speed has nothing to do with it, why get a kid who runs 4.3? What a dumbass statement. Oregon does not run an sec offense at all. Oregon runs a spread option offense. Who in the sec runs that? Oh wait besides tebow who isn't there anymore. Sec speed is greater than the big ten. Its just a fact. Watch anytime big ten plays sec, its like a whole different level, luckily big ten power slows that speed down, but for the greater part sec teams are overall faster. Miami is still growing as a program again but tressel even said they were fast. And track phenoms don't relate to field speed nearly as often.

Well, where I think "ESS SEE CEE SPEEDz" hurt us the most was on the defensive side. Florida's D in 2006 got after us in a way we had rarely (if ever) seen or really even prepared for. Skill position speed on the offense has never been hard for us (yeah I said 'us', fuck off and die) to recruit.

So what you are saying is that Florida WAS NOT the quentessential SEC team of the past 5-10 yrs? Maybe you are more ignorant than you thought. And as for speed being an issue we attract enough speed.

Its how big 10 plays ball. Im sure if we wanted to look like a bunch of no talent assclowns, Tressel could dial up a wildcat/spread offense just like anyone else. But the fact remains we dont have to play offense through trickery and designed trick plays. OSU lines up, asserts themselves and plays at their pace.

First of, congrats on ignoring my past post comparing an SEC teams individual speed to OSU's individual speed. Kudos.

Secondly, remember UM having a crap season and beating Florida in a bowl game a couple years back? The same UM team we crushed? The same FL team that Tebow was still spearheading?

I do. I watched the Big Ten play the SEC that day. Conveniently all the SEC homers forget games like this b/c it is and always will be SEC vs. OSU, not SEC vs. B10.

Arguing the fact is stupid because you are all to fan hard to see the truth. Big 10 football is 2nd best to sec. Its just a fact, yes fla lost to michigan in there " shit yr". Fla also had there " shit yr" wen tebow was a soph. I don't think the wildcat is a trickery offense seeing as it sets up the option without getting ur qb killed and is actually quite useful. Osu is the only team yr in and yr out that can play with the top sec team. And well we've seen what has happened now haven't we. Let's look at just a few teams

Bama- still a solid top 5 team ( so wat they lost to sc, that was a rough 3 gms)

Fla- even with having a rebuild yr is still a tough team

Lsu- still winning, still have huge athlete like no other team

Auburn- up and down but can give any team in the sec fits

Ark- they rolled with bama enough said

Let's check the big ten

Osu- best of the best

Penn st- rebuilding this yr but doesn't usually fair well against the sec

Michigan- ummmm yeah, can't beat michigan st

Wisconsin- always a power house but not enough speed to content with an sec defense. Would still be a good game

Iowa- too innconsistent, but has a great defense almost every yr. Jus not that shocking offense

Gabe its funny how u say osu doesn't have to use those trick plays and the team can do what they want and be great, this wk, but last wk u were the same guy starting threads about how much osu had a shitty offense. But who was the main person deffending them??? Oh shit it was me. Way to back track.
