This is because the shift fork needs adjusted, there is not damage to the transmission no parts required, someone with knowledge or a manual can easily adjust this and have it in working order. I have a King Cobra Clutch with about 500 miles on it and it was holding at about a 400tq range just fine. It looks practically unused.
