KD93R1
I was happy w/the torque numbers, but we were able to hold the car down, mainly boost control issues which were my fault. I had no previous experience w/the dyno and I hot a semi-crash course to thats for sure. Here are some of my crappy (short) videos. 3rd dyno run coming up next should be more sucessfull. http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/th_003.jpg http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/th_005-2.jpg http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/th_001.jpg http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/th_002-2.jpg http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/th_005-3.jpg http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/th_006.jpg http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/th_007-1.jpg http://i1039.photobucket.com/albums/a473/KD93R1PB/019-2.jpg
Smokey
Torque numbers look good, should be really nice when you can make a full pull. What are you using for engine management?
Mattsv8
is that really almost 20lbs of boost for 313 hp?
spankis
is that really almost 20lbs of boost for 313 hp? Half pull, revving to 4.5kish rpms. READ.
Mojoe
is that really almost 20lbs of boost for 313 hp? I'm no Dyno guru. But what I see is 20lbs at close to 4000RPMs and on a HALF PULL letting off around 4600RPMs with a car the redlines at 9000 RPMs. The lines look good to me for what is shown so long as there's no break up further into it. Spankis beat me to it. Slow post
Forrest Gump 9
Is it diesel power? just joking!
KD93R1
Yeah, we were having trouble keeping the car down boost wise. My methanol injection light was blinking an error code so Zavier thought doing full pulls w/so much boost on pump gas w/o knowing if methanol was working correctly was not a good idea. I didnt think so either. However, we also decided I need a little more gas. So I'll be returning to dyno w/2 HiPer Denso pumps instead of one and I fixed the methanol problem. Mattsv8
i did read. i dont give a shit if its a 1/4 pull half pull or 10000000000 rpm pull at 20 lbs and 313 hp u got a wee turbo. but dont mater good numbers if your happy. if it were me id expect better numbers with less boost. what size is the turbo is it small like a t25? Not everyone is trying to do wheelies. That car will be a lot of fun coming out of turns with that level of power.
Mattsv8
i try not to do them too. slows the 60ft down. but a long bed truck is a bitch to get going. when u have 2600 lbs up front and 900 out back. i dont run dynos i run the track. so if the car works there and he likes it i guess thats all that matters. KD93R1
Turbo is kinda small. GT35r dual bearing. I think the wastegate may be a little to strong on the spring, but the reason why there backing off is because of the methanol and possible low fuel. The car will be in the high 400's hp wise at the wheels around 6000rpm, that we know.
