CRed05
Needs e-code headlights, rs4 grill and no front plate. Then it needs a GIAC chip, downpipes, exhaust and darintake... Then it needs to become a stage 3... Then it needs GT turbos...

Mr. Jones
Fyi: Ecstuning is localish and parts are generally here next day regardless of shipping method. Nice when you need something in a pinch.
SilverAudiMike
And for service? Guy I bought it from mentioned it needed a radiator hose, I noticed a coolant drip last night in the garage...
CRed05
I try to do everything myself, but when I don't feel like doing it I take my car to Auto Assets. I trust their mechanic and he does real good work, he has been doing it for a long time. It's the only place I trust around here.
SilverAudiMike
Good, Auto Assets is who has worked on the car and told him about the coolant hose. I just don't have access to a lift anymore...
Mr. Jones
I've also used MotorKars, family owned business who has been around forever. Usually a wait to get in though.
RyM3rC
Motorkars is evil. So is auto assets sometimes. Motorkars (used to be cool back in the 90's) ran my car into a wall, and Auto assets tried to charge me for a dyno run they didn't even do because their shit broke. Fail. I've heard good things about Performance Automotive on roberts rd, and Jon's up north of Marysville does a decent job... although he kinda sold out a little while back. Just do it yourself. Audi coolant hoses are quick-connect and it will take you about 15 seconds.

Mr. Jones
Unless by coolant hose, he actually means the after-run pump in the V of the block.

SilverAudiMike
What's involved with that cost wise IF it needed that?
Mr. Jones
What's involved with that cost wise IF it needed that? I think the dealer usually charges between 800-1000 for the service. You can probably get it done for 250-300 in parts.
CRed05
It's easy to replace, I did it myself and I think the pump was $80. Remove engine covers, y-pipe, undo bolts and lift intake manifold and there she sits. There is a factory Audi relocation kit for it, I replaced mine before I found out about it but I would get the relocation kit as well. I guess its $155 for the kit: http://www.daftsgarage.com/relocationkit.pdf

I don't think it's leaking from there seems like the top hose where it connects close on the motor side. It's just a drip.

How i found out my aux. pump was leaking is you see coolant running down the side of the trans. What happens is a big pile of coolant collects in the engine valley and rolls down the back of the motor and down the trans.
