no wonder I think that all it does at my in law's is snow.... because it fucking does

Apparently where they live, Springville NY, averages 164" of snow per year

lake effect ftw. during that blizzard they had there was some pretty severe thunder and lighting, with snowfall rates of 2-4" PER HOUR.

Yeah, that blizzard was actually just north of there, which was crazy because it usually snows the most to the south of the city and why the thruway was shut down. They are at a high elevation in the appalachian foothills south of Buffalo.

wx looks pretty mild for the long range. our next change for precip is going to be around the 7th of january. it will be a clipper system As of right now its looking like a 2-4" event

these images are only good for 24 hours.

the gfs models have been fairly consistant so far with a storm on the 14th-16th.

all of the models have a ton of precip over the OV, but the deciding factor will be temps. could be a washout, foot of snow, or it could dive south like the last one.

just got shits and giggles....

sorry LJ, the snow machine appears to be just getting warmed up.

She won;t be on call again until march, so it's not really a major deal, just seems like we will get snow both weekends she is on this winter
