Is anyone here running the D585 coils? I'd like to take a look at your setup if possible.

 

Also, what wires are you running and did you change your dwell times?

i had them on the vette. took them off a '03 5.3L tahoe.

 

i used the stock vette wires.

 

i don't know if the dwell times were changed or not. you can change it some unlike the LS1 coils because of the heat sinks.

Anthony, there is suppose to be a solid pickup in power with the truck coils even on NA motors.

True story LS7 coils are the best coils produced, and they are in fact the same as truck coils, the myth that the coils with heat sink shielding on the top pack power ignition power is in fact just that, a myth.

 

Use LS7 OE coils these are the best stock coil currently produced.

I got them from a guy up in Lima, but I may have another set out in the garage now that I think about it. If im not mistaken you only see a benefit when you change the dwell time on the coils.
