how to figure size for a subwoofer box

how do I figure it? do you need the power rating from the woofer or something? it sounds ok now but each speaker is in a small box that used to be behind a truck seat I know we made those boxes to fit the truck and they were not optimal at all size wise.

 

I can do 3 cubic feet and try it whats better a ported or a sealed box I don't really mess with this stuff much anymore....

Go to MTX's Website. Look for the Model of your Subs. They have recommended enclosure volumes and simple dimensions for most of their models.

yeah I tried that but these subs are ooooooollllllllllldddd and they don't have the info (even in the archive section) anymore

Call me. As you know, those speakers were mine at one point and I had the original MTX box they came in for years. They were pretty damn loud for 10's . I'll help you figure it out. BTW, what happened to the third one? Edited by TA In Progress
