Forrest Gump 9
Just wondering if anyone here run Killer Chiller in their car? How do you like it? How do it work in WOT mode? Don't AC compressor shut off at WOT? Thanks in advance.
kirks5oh
i've got one on my '04 cobra---i run the a/c on regular mode constantly---even in the cold weather. the a/c shuts off at wot, so i never ever turn it off. the interior a/c isn't quite as cold, but who gives a shit. i ran the a/c at the track. because of the extra load on the system, no condensation forms, so there's no leakage for me at the track. my inlet air temps are usually below 100 at all times---no heatsoak, like driving a fresh car constantly. well worth it
CRAWDAD
It sounds like a sweet set up. I didn't like the fact of running the a/c on the track

Can you explain about the no condensation? Also, do you still have the stock heat exchanger in place or do you remove it? Thanks again! schmuckingham
Lightning guys run a stock heat exchanger with an aftermarket pump and a resivior in the bed with a chiller. You can get away with leaving everything stock and the system works great still.
kirks5oh
i have an aftermarket heat exchanger. the system would work better with a stock exchanger, but i just don't want to take the time to put the stocker back on. when you run a stock a/c system, you get condensation that drips onto the pavement---that stopped after my killer chiller install. so i leave the a/c on at all times. car pulls like a raped ape no matter how long you've been out driving it. i would probably benefit from a lower temp thermostat, but i've not changed it out

I think I'll have it set up in conjunction with my current set-up. There are people that said they did away with the HE all together. And I'm not sure if I want to go to that extreme.
