Reformating Harddrive

I just purchased a WD 1TB harddrive and I've found out it needs to be formatted in FAT32 so I can stream video files/music off of it onto my xbox 360. How do i go about doing this.

I've tried the command prompt format fs/:fat32 k: and it goes through the prompts then just stalls out everytime at 0% even when left for four hours...

It doesnt need to be fat32 to stream, only to connect by USB to play files.

I assume your meaning the connection through windows media player via PC, yeah I'm trying to get around that. I wanted it to use just the xbox and the harddrive.

it was my understanding you couldnt do that anyway, i used to be able to use my thumb drive on my 360 till i did one of the dash updates that killed that feature. try hopping on the xbox forums, if anyone has figured out a solution, they have.
