Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

Looking for an expert shop to do some stage 3 cams and do a complete refresh to my cobra engine and maybe a few more goodies to my car. I want it to be someone who knows these engines inside and out. Don't mind paying for the expertise, just not gonna get hosed.

Thanks

Mark

i'd steer clear of paul's automotive in cincinnati. they did the initial pulley swap/tune on my cobra and the tune was way off. dynotune to the rescue. modular depot is in cincy, but i don't know much about them. i've got an incredible motor guy/tuner/complete cobra shop in milwaukee---probably a bit too far for you, but this guy is legit. he's done a solid rear swap for me, and an auto swap. every time i show up there, he has at least 5-6 terminators in there getting major work done, and just as many new edge cars. he's in his late 40's and was a ford tech for 16 years. he does complete motors, fabrication, tuning, wiring, pretty much anything you can imagine with a mustang

4v engines don't need after market cams to make hp.

I would just throw more boost to it.

I have a buddy in jackson that does great work.

I was going to suggest Troy as well. Does awesome work and does in fact know the 4v motors inside and out. He's owned, built, and repaired countless cars since they've came out and currently owns 2 Terminators himself.

meh, if you're going to go to lidio, or livernois, you should just take it to milwaukee. so many of the 'big name' shops have multiple idiots working at their shop to handle the workload. my guy does all the work himself---takes a little more time to get your car back, so i'd take it there over the winter. but you can be assured, you're not going to get some jackass working on it. every time i go there, he has multiple motors torn down, and in the process of reassembly. he routinely gets business from 6+ hours away.

Local guy had a 2V car built at Livernois with no issues and the car makes 650 on pump gas and drives like a stock car. Sometimes you make my head hurt.
