This is a fast paced, multi project work environment where engineers are expected to take projects on from concept through production. All of the projects are development in an atmosphere with software, firmware, mechanical and PCB engineers all working on a team. Located in Marlborough, MA, all of the positions require a technical background, and salaries are up to $135K, depending on experience. Sr. Electrical Design Engineer Responsible for the development of electronic systems in energy delivery and storage systems. These systems require electronic controls to manage, monitor and protect Lithium Ion battery cells, sub-modules and systems, and communicate to host systems and other battery systems. This position requires demonstrated expertise in analog, digital, and power electronics, including noise issues, power handling on PC boards, and isolation. Familiarity with power semiconductors, microprocessors, DC-DC power supplies, and communication circuits is required, System Engineer Part of a cross-functional group which develops concepts of battery solutions to a diverse set of challenging problems in the stationary, consumer, medical and industrial power markets. They will be responsible for multiple overall system concepts factoring in the electrical, thermal, mechanical, electrochemical and operational subsystem parameters to fulfill a specific set of goals desired by our customers or the market. Test Engineer Defines, leads and performs test engineering assignments on new product development and existing products. Designs and implements test methods and procedures for testing and ensuring the quality level of lithium batteries and systems. Design and fabricate development and MFG test fixtures. Write production test procedures and automated test programs. Manage multiple programs simultaneously. Mechanical Engineer While working in a cross functional team, leads the design and development of a battery cell module, pack, and other related mechanical designs through analysis, design, and hands-on testing. Mentors and advises less experienced mechanical engineering staff in all aspects of the design and development of products. Experience in heat transfer and thermodynamics required, as well as the design of injection molded plastic and sheet metal parts for high and low volume manufacturing. Pro and GD&T, ASME Y14.1 experience required. Operations Manager We are searching for a technical leader to manage the commercial operation, demonstration, and site testing of large multi-megawatt battery systems installed and in commercial operation. This position will interface with engineering and marketing teams to develop use cases and demonstrate the capabilities and performance of the systems in operation. They will define and manage projects budgets, plans, tests, and schedules Work with engineering and marketing teams to document use cases. Software Engineer Responsible for developing solutions for next-generation electric grid control systems. Must have experience in developing system level software architectures to achieve end requirements on Linux-based systems. Web-based product, UI, development a plus.
