CRAWDAD
http://www.autoguide.com/auto-news/2011/10/2013-ford-shelby-gt500-confirmed-with-supercharged-5-8l-v8.html It blends the best of the past with the present, and it’s too much car for not enough man. And next year the Ford Shelby GT500 will be even wilder thanks to a new supercharged 5.8-liter V8 engine. Back in March came the first rumors of a larger displacement V8 for the GT500 and now that info has been confirmed in details released as a part of a new Ford contract with the United Auto Workers. The plans specifically state that the company’s Romeo Engine Assembly Plant will receive a $50 million upgrade in order produce the new engine, which will gain almost a half a liter of displacement and is rumored to produce more than 600-hp. Dr. Apex
If they could just minimize the weight of the car they wouldn't have to have so much in the motor. Should be a beast though.
2011SVT
Wonder if it's just a bored (or sleeved?) 5.4L or if they stuck 'Coyote' heads and programming on it? <drool>. Makes me almost feel sorry for the ZL1. Almost. Figure to make 30-40hp out of the displacement bump and then throw the TVS on top of that. 620 almost seems conservative. Of course, practically no one will leave it alone so we'll see 600+ whp cars with just a pulley and tune!
