EvilTwin
So my bike didn't have a speedo or a speedo cable when I bought it, but it did have the mechanism that fits on the front axle that the speedo cable hooks up to. So I bought a speedo and cable and got it all mounted and connected and took it for a spin... No speed reading. So today I put the lower end of the speedo cable in a drill and spun it, and I got a speed reading of 35mph, so now I know that the speedo cable and speedo work fine. My next step was to look into the mechanism that fits around the axle, and have my friend spin the front wheel. When we did this it did not appear that anything was moving inside, but there is a regular "clicking" noise when the front wheel is spun.Any ideas as to what the problem is? Do I just need to shoot some WD40 in there or do I need to buy a new one? Thanks for your help.
