I just wiped it, so its ready to be set up as a new phone. It would make a great spare phone and for this price, why not? There are scratches on the back and a few light ones on the screen. I'll try to get pics of these as good as i can. There are some stress marks around the charge port, but its not serious and I will also picture this. Gazelle.com (electronics trade in website) is offering me $97 for the phone. They estimated $102 and we got $102. Whole process took less than 2 weeks to get the money in our paypal account. It's really the most painless process I've ever gone through. greg1647545532 Posted December 28, 2011 Report Share Posted December 28, 2011 iPhones are crazy expensive in other parts of the world, and AFAIK the US is the only country where subsidized phones have become the norm. You can get a new 4S for $200 with a Verizon contract, so getting someone to pay half that for a worn out 3GS is going to be nearly impossible. OTOH, someone overseas would gladly pay $200 for a used 3GS instead of $800 or so for a new 4S. Gazelle.com probably has a pretty solid business plan going on.
