thorne
This bathroom was built from scratch for my wife so she could get in and out of it easier. We included a 5inch step and a handicap rail in the shower. Also a special shower head that has a pause button. (My wife is on kidney dialsys and uses a cath so hard to shower). It's also why my g35 is not boosted yet lol...... I built this bathroom on beer budget with champagne tastes. All of the labor was performed by family members who were out of work but extremely skilled. And available for hire We live in the basement (TL;DR until transplant) and this whole project started with nothing more then ruff ends in a basement. PROTRICK!!!! Anyone who is looking for redo their bathroom should go to the restore habitat for humanity place. Amazing prices and 75% of the proceeds go to habitat for humanity. I picked up a Kohler "whirlporl/Spa tube" for 150$ in perfect condition. http://www.40roll.com/bathroom/RestoreTubewithjets(Small).jpg http://www.40roll.com/bathroom/pumpandutilcab(Small).jpg Jets work perfectly. acklac7
http://29.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_lltzgnHi5F1qzib3wo1_400.jpg Did you run into any issues when installing the Spa? Like routing the plumbing etc? About to put one in myself and could use any/all tips. Also was the spa new or used? Either way still one hell of a deal, you couldn't touch one at lowes for under $600 when I was looking at them.
thorne
Spa i bought used but I plugged it in at the store to confirm the pump worked. At lowes you could not touch the one i have for under 1 grand. IT's not just a basic jet tube. its huge. takes for ever to fill . All of the plumbing for the actualy jets is built into the frame of the tube. As for the drain. Lets say plumbing is my most OVER budgeted item on this build. My uncle made it work but it took more then just a basic drain kit.
thorne
I also got a timered heat lamp / stinkvent / light so when you get out of the shower its warm ;p. It's crazy how cheap some of the little luxuries actually cost.
