cruizin01
The car is a 2007 GTI I put a quaife in my 02Q 6 speed trans last year. Its a clamshell style trans that holds the dif between the halves. The shims behind the races are supposed to be removed and the trans reassembled and then shims added to set the correct tollerance. I just put the dif in with new bearings with no shimming. The bearings have since gotten noisy. I dont have the tools to do the jobs correctly. Im looking for someone that has done these before. Id be pulling the trans and just supplying the trans w/dif installed already and new bearings. If anyone is interested in doing the job let me know. Worse case theres a guy in lima that will do it but Id rather have someone/shop do it in the columbus area. Derek
