Wes Stone
I figured since the impact wrenches thread was very helpful what does everyone recommend for a good air compressor to run these impact wrenches that won't break the bank? Thanks,

Xyster101
I have a Husky from HD oil-less 21 gallon. It will run most stuff at home, impact, air ratchet, air chisel, tire filler. I can take off 5 lugs without it turning on. I don't know if a paint sprayer or air grinder would run off it for more then a few minutes. If I could do it again, I would get an oil one, they are so much quieter and I would think they would last longer.
Nate1647545505
Dewalt makes a small one I purchased for home repair/remodeling. It runs 4-5cfm @ 90psi but only has a 4.5 gal tank. http://www.homedepot.com/buy/tools-hardware/air-compressors-tools-accessories/dewalt/1-8-hp-continuous-200-psi-4-5-gallon-compressor-69761.html
IVRINGS
I just got this two weeks ago and it has been a life saver! I really wanted a bigger two stage unit, but it just wasn't in the budget. I also picked up a little cheap $40 air hammer that works great with it. My die grinder and cut off wheel I can use with it, but not for a long time. I had to use it to cut off a few bolts on the F-150 during the front shock/spring mount, and then hit them with my new air hammer. Also it comes with a cheap Impact Wrench and Ratchet! http://www.sears.com/craftsman-26-gallon-air-compressor-with-impact-wrench/p-00916471000P?prdNo=1&blockNo=1&blockType=G1

Wes Stone
I was thinking around 1k and no space limitations.
Dave1647545494
home depot and lowe's both have several 60 plus gallon upright 2-stage compressors in that price range.
IVRINGS
That's a nice budget for a good unit. I wished I had that budget for mine, but one day I will get my rear garages panel upgraded for something like this.
Wes Stone
What about IR compressors? Everyone seems to like the Air Wrenches. What about the compressors?
IVRINGS
I've never heard about them good or bad. You could also go custom with a bigger tank if you go down by CSCC downtown cause there is a place there that sells compressors and have them get you setup. I had to go down there once to get parts for my friends Husky unit before and I just remember them saying they could make me whatever I wanted and even paint it what ever color I wanted for cheaper then a normal place.
