When I lived there, my parents lived on the corner of Stygler and Ainsworth, across the street from the Speedway there so it wasn't very far at all to just walk down there. I remember it being a pretty good time. I just remember the turkey drumsticks...so delicious. Jazz & Rib Fest downtown is in July right? That's a good time if it's not stupid hot outside. I like going down there with my dogs (rottweiler, pits, etc.), it makes it easier to navigate the sea of adolescence when they see your dog(s) and you get a lot of "oh snaps yo, das uh big ol' dog" and they scatter out of your way.
