I've went to a couple shops locally for some minor work/advice. But I am now in need of a COMPLETE rebuild.

I need a shop that is very good with the LSx and not gonna rape me on pricing.

Here are the pics of the motor (416 stroker):

Rods look good

bearings are all good right???

crank is toast-I think.

Thanks!

Jeremiah

Says big oil lines cause failure?

Yup. I think the big oil lines (-10) are the same/close to block size galleys/ports.

-10 was close to .5" ID

-8 was .390" ID

So I really don't think so.

I will switch back to -8 if I have to-but that defeats the purpose.

Dude he's smoking fucking crack if he thinks those oil lines caused that. I'd still like to know the answer about the oil plug...where's that oil flow chart pic that shows the oils path, I wanna see something.

What oil pan and oiling system are you using?

Stock modded pan(oil filter adapter removed and squared for more capacity) with gate

Melling 296 pump with HP/HV spring

Oil relo setup using -10 lines from side of block

Stock pickups are a known issue, hard launching, stopping and cornering = oil starvation which is what it appears you have experienced.

Motor had 2100 miles and less than a dozen hard launches. The gate is supposed to prevent oil slosh.

It is oil starvation, but why we dont know. The barbell oring was damaged in spots, both the top and bottom of it. Builder said it was during removal, theres no way. It couldve possibly been damaged during one of 4 rear main seal replacememnts i did trying to fix an oil leek that ended up beinga missing crank cap.

How much more capacity? I went with a high pressure, but standard volume pump with my build because of the stock pan. Does squaring the pan give you enough additional capacity to keep from sucking it dry with a high volume pump?
