JaSSon
I have a couple hundred spent casings in both .223 and 5.56. Does anyone here reload? I'd like to trade them for reloads.
RedRocket1647545505
I reload frequently. 200 cases isn't really worth much though, especially considering the time it takes to re-rig my Dillon. I usually don't even fire it up for less than a 300 round run. How about 300rd of 55gr FMJs, loaded to whatever specs you want, for $100 + your 200 cases? Furloaf
Sorry not interested in the trade, but wondering if there is a significant enough difference in the case geometry to not reload .223 brass to a 5.56 level charge?

Yes. The main reason being that the case on. 223 isn't as thick and generally can't handle pressure as well. It also has slightly larger case capacity because of this. Furloaf
Thanks. I assumed the difference was solely in the barrel: proofing level and rifling/headspacing geometry - and that the brass wasn't significantly different to not be interchangeable. I have a bucket of casings that might be mixed. Again sorry for derailing. Good luck with the sale/trade.
JaSSon
Burt, I'm interested. I'll go through the bags of brass more in depth soon and will be in touch.
