that dude Posted April 9, 2009 Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 i currently have a stock header and bolt on lor 13' pipe on the 750.. i can get a 2004 gsxr 1000 header pipe for near nothing. is it worth it to switch out the two. i was told its an exact match up and it will give me a little more hp.. Goldie Posted April 9, 2009 Report Share Posted April 9, 2009 I had read about this on other forums also, but I remember that the 1000 headers are a bit different, and at the point where they exit the fairings, I have seen pics of melted fairings, as the header has a different angle, or is a bit larger. The 1000 headers are titanium, at least for the 05-06 anyway, so you would get some weight savings there. I wouldn't think you would get an HP gain, but you could.
