The noise I need to cancel out is human voices. I've tested Bose Quiet Comfort 15 in this very setting and while they are very good I can still hear people on conf. calls/having conversations while wearing them. Not worth this poor man's $300. Does anyone know of any Noise Canceling headphones that do a really good job of cancelling out human voice? Any experience with the "cheap" Sony MDR-NC200D 's -Going slowly crazy. I noticed those Sony's are press on which doesn't really make since to me. I am thinking I will just crank the volume on my current headphones. Something will always bleed through, and that's where you add in new noise/music/talk/soothingoceansounds/whatever to cover up the difference. Closed headphone, I can't hear anything outside of them and they have great sound. Stay away from the Bose and other things like that. You can get more for your money by going another route. Look at audioholics.com and head-fi.org One of those is geared toward headphones. I spent a good amount of time reading on there before I got my first pair of headphones.
