smokin5s
you might want to think about building your own... that's what I had to do in order to get the price down.

copperhead
http://www.slickguns.com/product/build-affordable-ar-15-less-485 Those uppers are probably fine but I'd spend a little more and get a real lower, not that flimsy plastic crap. Those would be fine for a .22 build that I don't care about but I wouldn't trust one for a real AR.
Mojoe
Cabelas Black Friday deal is $650 with an optic for a Bushmaster. Check their flyer

timmy43016
Check Blackwing and see what sales they have for black Fri. Bought a PSA that was a 1k rifle for 700 on their easter sale. Awesome rifle...They usually have some good deals.

I think they have over 5k rounds through it and it is holding up just fine.
jerrodh
http://www.rguns.net/ Has a great selection of uppers if you find a good deal on a lower. They have some lowers but not really as well priced (IMHO) as their uppers. Otherwise armslist.com has tons of AR15's day in and day out.

GTTURBO88
I bought a PSA for $640. The only thing it lacked was a rear sight. Great rifle for the price.
stangsn95gt
Last year I picked up a M&P 15 sport for $629 new so if you have patience you can find them.
Shawn89
I ended up getting a Del-ton 316H for 699. Pretty nice rifle. My only complaint is the lower and upper don't fit together quite as tight as some of the other ars I've handled
stangsn95gt
I would of spent $20 more for this 1/7 twist http://www.classicfirearms.com/long-guns/palmetto-state-armory-ar-15-rifle-m4-optic-ready-w-fn-barrel

Mojoe
It is. He's saying you would have been better to spent $30 more and get a 1/7 barrel
Shawn89
Did i have my info wrong? I thought the higher twist number was better. My uncles ruger sr556 is a 1/16 twist if I'm not mistaken.
copperhead
1/16 twist is good for .22 It's a measurement of how many inches it takes for the rifling to twist. So 1/16 means one twist in 16 inches which is a slow twist. Most AR's are either 1/7 or 1/9. 1/9 twist is good for lighter loads and 1/7 is good for heavier loads. With modern ammunition most people will say to just go with 1/7 for any .223 or 5.56, but if you were to use a .22 conversion you may have issues. Shawn89
Thank you for clearing that up. I guess one good thing is i can always get a new upper if i think i really need it. So far the Delton had been a good rifle
