smokin5s
I recently changed jobs and the health insurance at my new company isn't that great, I know there are insurance companies out there that will help pick up some of the slack that primary health insurance misses... anyone know of a good company and what to watch out for? Any info is appreciated.
iwishiwascool
Back when I was a W2 I switched from my employer's plan to an Anthem plan through eHealthinsurance.com. It was far less expensive for nearly the exact same plan. It may be cheaper to ditch the employer plan and just get what you want.
smokin5s
that's a cool site, but it seems like most of their options for family are really expensive, or don't cover pills other than generic, high deductables, etc... smokin5s
I was thinking, what about suplimental insurance?
iwishiwascool
Mine is really reasonable at $330 or so for my my little family. HSA lumenos 3000. 3000 deductible, HSA eligible, Rx and well visits. My employer was charging me $760 for a plan with a 2k deductible. I'm fairly certain they were scamming. iwishiwascool
Is your employment plan HSA eligilble? I assume you are young enough that contributions to an HSA would make more sense then paying more for insurance.
smokin5s
yes it is eligible... which plan did you select?
