Got-Boost?
New technology and development costs passed onto the consumer. The old technology stuff is cheaper to build and they are trying to move it....

Scotty2Hotty
Thought all the Rams came with the 6spd auto.........I know mine did.
spankis
Not in the new V6 Ram for sure. The only they can get people interested is to be put the 8 speed behind it. That way they can talk up the crazy mileage. Otherwise it would likely be dismissed as far behind the Ford Ecoboost half tons.

Scotty2Hotty
'13s get the v6/8 speed in the "HFE" Only thing the Penastar motor did was make the Wranglers tolerable to drive and less of a turd. Last I checked, the Ram 5.7 Hemi is rated a little higher in HP than the Charger/300/Challenger. I still want 4.10's in my Ram though. BigOxley
looks like they're both rated at 395hp. 3.92 is the highest with the Express/V8. 3.21 is the only option HFE/V6.

Eco mode is only nice for freeway driving. Annoying when it kicks in on the street with minimal throttle input. Once Diablo Sport gets their Trinity updated for the 12' Rams, I'll turn it off. I've got 3.55's in my truck. But I got the dash display, which the other trucks on the lot didn't have. I plan on doing 4.10's when I put my wheels on. It'll make a nice difference for city driving. Scotty2Hotty
I do love the new 300's. if I didn't need a truck, an SRT8 300 would be on the list.

Penastar costs less in the 300, Hemi costs less in Ram Correct, retooling for the Ram which was/is in current production and the 300 was a ground up design new platform which was planned from the beginning...
