I've got the flyers to serve as reminders of the times/dates of the event, and they include a $2 off coupon for spectator admission (but not race or show entry fees).

Just stop me and ask for the flyer. I'll also place a supply at Advance Auto Parts in Powell, SlowMotion Motorsports in Sunbury, and Wheel Medic in Columbus beginning in June.

Also, you can print a copy of the flyer (black and white is ok) from this link and use it as a coupon at the gate: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/IFOflyerKilKare_zpsea41e9fb.jpg

Besides getting $2 off every spectator admission, Columbus Racing gets $2 for every coupon used at the gate. We got more than chump change from the last one: http://www.columbusracing.com/forums/showthread.php?t=112184 and I'd like to see this grow to 300-500 dollars per event. With that income, there'd be enough to do a free track rental once a year.

  • 3 weeks later...

Bump for this coming weekend. Coupons for discounts on spectator admission are available at SloMo, WheelMedic, and the Powell location of Advance Auto Parts. I also carry them with me at Sawmill and CR events, or you can print one from here: http://i355.photobucket.com/albums/r445/martyr65/IFOflyerKilKare_zpsea41e9fb.jpg

Besides your discount on the admission price, Columbus Racing receives $2 for every flyer redeemed at the gate. :)

Just got back. It was a great time today. The rain stayed away, although it was plenty hot. Although I took no photos, perhaps someone can post theirs.

I was very impressed with the improvements at KilKare. The track was hooking well according to my friends who raced, they had the "pole barn pavilion" (as I call it) set up for eating and lounging with two large evaporative cooling fans, had a large food selection at low prices, even beer was $2.

I saw lots of CR folks around. I hope you all had as good a time as I did.

The next one will be back at National Trail on September 29th and will again feature autocrossing for those who'd like to give it a try in an inexpensive, low-pressure environment.

Cliff (the organizer) told me that if attendance stays good, he plans to offer four IFO's in Ohio in 2014.

When I receive the check for flier redeemption, I'll post the CR donation check as I did last time. Thanks to all those who attended.

Track was sketchy, I wouldn't have wanted to go down it with any real power I can tell you that. We took home the win in the bracket class, racer count was stuipd low, most likely due to the heat. It was hot as hell out there

New track + Tons of heat = sketchy track. We were up at Thompson saturday and that track was having issues. The problem is when it gets super hot you really can't spray the track with to much traction compound, it just turns to grease.

Anyone know the story on the old Speedvision GT #94 Hikari/Passen Supra? Weird to see an old road racing warrior on the drag strip.

I bought that car from Dave S. (Hikari Racing) back in 2000, ran it at Mid Ohio a bunch and just sold it to Sean last fall to free up some garage space. Super cool car and I just re-did the whole thing so it should run well.
