Here the problem. I want 400wheel even if I did a expensive hci on A 302 I. Going to get no where near that. Where as I take. 5.3 slap on ls6 heads intake tb and a 228 cam and I should see 370-400 is my goal.

Make sence now?

My last fox had a hci and I was very much disappointed that it didnt even make 300 wheel.

Hell my buddies 306 had trick flow heads x cam and still only mad 330 and that was blueprinted and balanced.

Also I never understood the point of Ls swaps till a few of my freinds bought a Ls car. There damn good motors.

Well, in the matter of just horse power, a junkyard 302 and a turbo or a supercharger will make 400-450 whp for less than $2500. 5.3 with heads, cam, intake, headers exhaust, crossmember, computer, wireing, and other misc. swap parts will run you $4000-$5000. And if you go the carb route, than ignition, fuel, carb and other parts are needed too. Whatever you think an LS swap will cost you, multiply that by 2 and that will be the end investment result. It's not as easy as "well, I'll get an LS motor and make power". I can give you a cost list of an LS6 swap for you to reference if you want. Thats why LS swapped cars are worth twice the value of non swapped cars. LOL

I'll never understand a ls swap in a fox body. Sbf sounds better and cheap to build

Yes true but I want small cube all motor 400wheel for autocross and track days.

I know ill end up having a pretty penny In this in the end. But I don't want boosted. Inthink turbo car even on low boost coming out of a corner I would just burn tires.

But yeah send it my way. I've seen a few builds where they had 4k into a swap all the way up to 10k

You might be better off buying something already swapped. There was a 5.3 6 speed white hatch on LS1TECH. Looked super clean.

I've been looking have yet to see a white hatch that was swapped. I enjoy the build though. Rather build it the. Buy it then it's the way I want.

I understand your point. I was just thinking a 347 stroker with A nice hci. Would get you your power numbers and save you work and money. LS is a nice motor just hate seeing them in fords lol

. LS is a badass motor

You can pick up a complete 5.3 from the junk yard for 400$ with wiring and all. Swap in a cam and intake, another 500-700$ and then some headers and make 400whp all day long

Than a trany, x member, trans mount, motor monts, clutch, driveshaft, fuel pump, injectors, gauges, electronics plus misc hoses and other junk, another $3000. I'm still playing that game with my swap.

you need a trans, clutch/stall, pump, injectors, gauges, and other junk with a 400 hp 302.

Exactly my point. You will have to buy all of it for any motor he puts in it if he just buys a roller. 5.3 would be a better platform. PLus the trans mount, motor mounts can be made

The LS motor is a far better platform than the 302 Ford. What I was trying to say is that a lot of people hear that X amount hp can be made with a $500 junkyard motor, but don't realize what all needs to be done to achieve that goal. I'm about $7-$8k in my swap with everything but I got a little more than just junkyard stuff.
