Averaging 98 mph.
buelliganx1
That's crazy, I drove from Naples FL over to Ft Lauderdale then back to Columbus in one shot one time and I was a damn zombie when I got home. There was a hurricane hitting Florida and if we would have driven up the west coast we would have driven right through it, as it was we kind of came in behind it and followed it up the east coast. Made for an interesting drive dodging debris in the road and trying to find gas stations that had power and were open.
BigOxley
i would use something like this with a big ol' auxiliary tank in the bed. http://www.blogcdn.com/www.autoblog.com/media/2011/08/bonnlead.jpg
BrendanB
I'm just wondering why they officially announced it so early, they sped through 2800 miles of small towns...also ironic the only time they thought they'd get pulled over was passing an OSHP cop at 95mph
Dr. Apex
Not impressive. Dude was sitting on a fucking bed pan with a bomb plopped in the back seat, what's next?? A catheter, colostomy bag , intravenous stimulants and 100gal fuel tank?? Is this what it takes to break a record now??

Makes me wonder.... http://jalopnik.com/meet-the-guy-who-drove-across-the-u-s-in-a-record-28-h-1454092837
Agent Orange
I did San Diego to Delaware OH in 36 1/2 hours. Quite possibly the dumbest thing I have ever done in a vehicle. I slept for 16 hours after that. Stupid Chevy only put a 26 gallon tank in the Silverados now. It sucked having to stop every 375 miles. Buck531
Meh. I did LA to Columbus in 36 hours (sleeping every 12 hours in a hotel).. IN A REGAL.
PsychoticGaming
Still not bad! Worst I've done is OH to southern LA and back in 40hours to move my sister back. Never ever making a straight trip like that again! Got a couple hour nap and had to go to work for a 12hr shift, it was terrible.
Chief8one
I swear I just watched the guys on gas monkeys talking about how they had the record. Not sure how long ago this was, but on the show they then bought the old jag that had the old record from the 70' s that was about to get crushed. Ya i'm not going to google it.
