Other than price, any advantage going RIA vs STI? There are plenty of advantages of going with a STI spartan over the RIA. But you do pay for the differences. STI spartan is just a semi-custom Rock Island. They are made by Rock Island with STI parts. Dharris89 Posted December 21, 2013 Report Share Posted December 21, 2013 Went to Gun Envy and they had 9mm Armscor 1911's in 5 and 3 in barrel lengths. They are very heavy but about what I expected.
