craig71188
1983 Porsche 944 NA 5 spd, 120K miles. Car is set up for autocross / Solo II / Porsche Club / track days / etc. Front camber plates, Koni yellows all around, QA1 springs on threaded collars up front, Sway bars, Fidanza lightened flywheel, remote oil filter, cold air intake, BMW projector beams replace factory fog lights. Motor, clutch, gearbox and differential all rebuilt or replaced 2 years ago. Good summer street tires. Car runs and drives strong, some rattles as you might expect with the upgraded suspension. I purchased this just to commute to the airport and just for fun. Too many other projects leave me no time to use this car as it should be. Would be a great base for a 944 Cup car. Asking $3500 obo http://images.craigslist.org/00p0p_4C7J8kJuRPp_600x450.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/00i0i_2AWpkxr0Nsy_600x450.jpg more pics and CL ad here: http://columbus.craigslist.org/cto/4427709901.html

craig71188
Excellent price. The previous owner/builder is a friend, he cut me a good deal, just looking to recoup what I have in it. To buy a decent 944 and replicate this car would cost you close to twice the asking price. The previous owner that built the car crews for a Grand Am team and had help from a national championship winning crew chief on sports racers in SCCA. It's not perfect, but all the goodies are there. Throw on a set of bigger wheels/tires and a bolt in cage and go racing....

craig71188
Any paperwork on the motor rebuild ? Nope. They did the work (other than machine work) themselves. I know them well enough that I didn't ask. Just looking at the motor in this car you can tell it's not been in there for 120K. I know everyone's motor was "just rebuilt" - but I think this car speaks for itself upon inspection.

Chief8one
just for shits and giggles what autox class does this fall into?
craig71188
just for shits and giggles what autox class does this fall into? The car was run in F-Production. It is listed as eligible for C-Street Prepared or STR as well. All Porsche's are excluded from SM classes. I am assuming due to the lightened flywheel and rear bumper they went FP, but I would think it could easily slip into CSP or STR locally without any problems.
