bmwohio
Looking to get my Father-In-Law some binoculars for Father's Day and know nothing about them. Would like to stay around the $80ish price range. He has a condo on Lake Erie and will mainly be using these to keep on his boat. Maybe some bird watching. Any suggestions, and what should I look for or stay away from? Thanks!
Tractor
I buy most of my astronomy related stuff here http://www.telescope.com/Binoculars/5.uts Best part about that site is they have good prices and do not sell junk, everything they sell will work impressively. They don't typically go super high end either and lots of reading to help you decide. I have a cheaper ($50) 50x10 pair of Orion (house brand) and they work great. Actually for anyone looking for this type of stuff the Orion brand is a great place to start if your wanting a quality telescope without spending a lot or going to cheap and getting something that won't work ie the ones in dept stores.
