Wes Stone Posted January 8, 2015 Report Share Posted January 8, 2015 My cousin has a PT Cruiser and the computer never tells the battery to charge. I have used a multimeter to verify voltage to the alt and the battery and it has 12.x volts when the battery is fully charged and then just goes down and down. The alt never kicks in to recharge the battery. We replaced the alt, battery, and nothing changes this scenario. So I was like well it probably the computer so went to pick n pull and got a new computer. Car starts and then stalls. Well probably security or something. So my questions does anyone have any other idea's on the charging system? 2nd how would I get the PCM/Security setup/changed in the pcm for this pcm to work in this car?
