I purchased a new .308 bolt gun that i would like to shoot 300-1000 yards with eventually. Also looking for advise on what I should be looking for in a scope to achieve this. Bob? 1fast5gp Posted January 13, 2015 Report Share Posted January 13, 2015 Depends on what you want to spend. Lower end scopes like Millet TRS-1 would work. I would recommend a bushnell elite 4200 or a Vortex Viper PST. Probably want variable magnification like 4-16x or 16-24x. I am running a Vortex Viper PST 4-16x50.
