Bringing this topic up from the twenty day grave... Been binge watching it off of DVR the past 3 days and I'm a big fan so far. Starting ep6 now...

Oooooh... that's the best one thus far. The whole series has been great but "Five-O" was incredible.

After the scene where Jimmy took his results from the bar exam to Chuck last episode or the one before I kinda had a feeling it was Chuck all along holding Jimmy down as far as having any opportunities with HHM. Such a shitty thing to do to his brother. I can kinda see where he's coming from and in the end Jimmy is going to prove him right by making a complete joke of the law as Saul Goodman. But if Chuck wouldn't have been such an asshole about it maybe he stays clean and ends up being a very respectable lawyer.

And yep, Mike was awesome as always. The guy he took down and disarmed is the guy who played/voiced Trevor in GTA V. Pretty awesome little cameo for him even though he ends up being embarrassed.

Someone please tell me why the show is called "better call Saul", but Saul, as we know him from Breaking Bad was named Saul Berenson...where in this show he is Jimmy McGill, So at what point does he have a name change???

Considering he has been riding off his brothers name, and what just happened between them, probably soon.

Chuck's reasoning for not wanting him at HHM is flawed, as people DO change, (which has been demonstrated by Jimmy), and regardless of where Jimmy got his law degree, i'd say with this class action case, he has proven he is capable of being a good lawyer. I don't have an issue with Chuck not bringing him into HHM, but his reasoning is totally out of line. Screw Chuck. He can DIAF.

Saul Goodman... or am I totally missing something?

No, I was thinking Homeland when I wrote that. You are right.

Saul Berenson is from Homeland so just a mix up there I'd assume.

Total mixup...Sorry bout that.

Some nice Breaking Bad references tonight. Jimmy/Saul talking about Belize during his bingo rant and then we got to see him do his Kevin Costner thing which he mentioned during a pitch to Walt on Breaking Bad about buying the laser tag place.
