This is not meant to be shouldered and I dont want to debate how one decides to shoot their guns. All I know is this is legal and is a great alternative to going through the paper work for an SBR. I used it for about a year on my AR pistol at local ranges and was never once hassled. Its made up of 2 components - The Thordsens buffer tube sleeve that has to be bolted on and makes the tube unusable for anything other than this product. So, you cant put a stock on this. The second component is the actual cheek rest that goes onto the tube.
