Said put money in savings till you have enough for a mazdaspeed 3. Its not worth it. Thx -D That guy is a smart guy. I was going to suggest a KL swap if you felt you needed more power in the p5 but I'm note sure that would be worth it with an auto. Speed 3's only come in manual which is against #2 on your list and the gen 1 Mazda 3 hatch (non speed) isn't an improvement over your protege5 IMO. Slightly more power out of the 2.3, but more weight and worse handling. Add an eibach pro-kit, decent struts like Tokico's and a larger rear sway bar and you can out handle 99% of what's on the road, just can't out run them.
