smokin5s
my CCW recently expired, anyone know what needs to be done to renew it? Thanks!
Mr. Jones
I just got done with this process. Most of it is waived if you are returning to the county from which you obtained your permit originally. From the Franklin County sheriff's office: https://sheriff.franklincountyohio.gov/services/concealed-carry-permit.cfm If you are a Franklin County Renewal, you will only need the following: An appointment Application filled out 2x2 photo not required Previous address portion not required to be filled out Your CHL permit Valid identification $50.00 Renewal fee Link to Application: https://sheriff.franklincountyohio.gov/assets/pdf/CCWApplication-Fillable.pdf Which you can open in a PDF editor, fill out, and then sign. They only accept EXACT CASH payment. They will not make any change whatsoever.
Stallion Motorsports1647545491
From the way I read that it doesn't matter how expired it is. I thought it used to be one year? I bet Mojoe knows the answer. Tom
Mojoe
Wife wife had been busy with work and we relocated to a different county than her CCW was issued. We over looked the expiration of hers and called the sheriff of our current county. They were quick to tell us it was no issue and she was not required to re-train. She made an appointment and the normal renewal process was followed with no issues. Different counties are going to have their own quirks. Just call and see how they want to do it. Richard Cranium
All I can say if call the sheriff and see what they say. Yeah ... what Joe said. I got my original in Franklin county. It was expired by a few months and Madison county didn't bat an eyelash about renewing it. I did not have a good experience with Franklin. Madison was easy to deal with.
