Build a head, or buy race heads?

One of the reasons for this of us in the build/repair business farm out our machining work. Its not worth my tying up highly skilled tech on something I'm going to make very little profit on. Unfortunately finding a good machine shop who knows what they are doing and can turn product reasonably quickly is a tough situation.

And only going to get harder as you don't see a lot of new "Machinists" opening up shops these days. Heads look great btw, hopefully all goes on well and you get to start getting some smiles for all the $$$s!

Ohhh, I completely understand. I am definitely not complaining. IMHO $1600 is a good deal for a head from someone like Curt. Yeah, he is having the seals cut and the surface decked at a shop he trusts, but he is doing the port work, assembly, etc and I have seen how long it takes to do a good port job, not to mention the skillset to get it right, and I definitely feel the price is fair. The issue with soobs is they have 2 heads, so the price doubles, which sucks.
