TurboGoKart
Recently bought an out-of-state FD. It came with a key for it, but it was broken, and sadly I think I might have lost that broken key. I'd like to have a dealer get me a new key but I'm sure I probably have to show the title. I have the title, it's just not in my name yet and would need the out-of-state inspection to be able to get it in my name. Car is a roller. Do I need to trailer it to the BMV/dealership? Or is anyone here able to lend a hand?
STEVE-O
Trailer it to the Bmv for the vin inspection Or is it a basic key like no security or anything? High tech lock smiths can cut a key via vin 90% of the time Or another thought might be cheap to buy a new cylinder with keys
TurboGoKart
93 FD. So no high-tec key. Just a piece of metal lol.
STEVE-O
93 FD. So no high-tec key. Just a piece of metal lol. Call up high tech lock smiths or again maybe just buy a new ignition cylinder and it will come with keys
TurboGoKart
Cool, thanks. I'll try that.
Smokey
Take out the passenger door lock cylinder. There's a code on the back of it. Take that code to Mazda dealer, they will cut you the appropriate key.
El Karacho1647545492
You might be able to get a dealer to do the out-of-state inspection for you.
