indy82z
My one Camaro needs the original computer controlled Quadrajet carburetor rebuilt (hard start cold and hot and bogging on acceleration). I have been thinking I will have time to tackle this for a while but never seem to have the time. I looked online and there is a place that came recommended (http://www.customcarbs.com/) and seems to do a great job, but has a nearly 3 week turn around at this point. I really would hate to not get this car back on the road until nearly August at this point. Anyone local do it for a reasonable price? I was quoted $200 for the above source and figured I would see if any local could do it cheaper and quicker. Again, its the factory computer controlled Q-jet on an 87 Camaro. The car is going to get a engine swap in the future and I most likely will just scrap the computer but want to keep it stock for now, otherwise I would just toss a Holley on it and be done. Thanks in advance.. Tom
Geeto67
not local, but Sean Murphy at SMI knows the e-Quad inside and out. They used to write the tech articles on the E-quad for Hot Rod. Maybe call Sean and see what his turn around is? https://www.smicarburetor.com/
