Mojoe
We sold my Dad's a house in Vermont last year after he passed away. There was no capital gains tax. Vermont taxed me on the sale because I was not a state resident and my attorney up there said I would get all the money back, after VT reviewed my name in their system and saw I didn't owe for back taxes. Attorney says I just file VT taxes this year. I have always done my taxes and am not finding how I can file this form or for VT taxes. I took it to H&R Block and they wanted to charge me $380, AND didn't know how to file this form and get my tax money in VT. CR, who knows how to get this done? Thanks. STEVE-O
I would give the tax department in the state of VT a ring and see what steps they tell you to take
