Ry_Trapp01647545522
I'm helping my nephew build a 1980 Notch, and we're to the point that we need to get some welding work done - subframe connectors, axle tubes, axle brace, anti-roll bar(probably a Team Z piece), and external torque box reinforcements(interior plates already melted in). So I need some shop suggestions - the car lives in Johnstown and Newark, but it doesn't have to be local, I just want to get this done right the first time. Thanks guys! STEVE-O
This screams for Alex based on location but not sure if he is backed up and able to get to it or not but that would be my highly suggested first choice
MrMeanGreen
Another recommendation for Alex L. on here. If he's not available, you may want to try Tinman on here if he has time, he's located in Johnstown as well. The "guy by the airport" is not recommended due to having issues with keeping to schedules.
Alex L.
I do not have availability in my schedule for this project.
Ry_Trapp01647545522
Thanks guys, I'll see what Tinman has to say - definitely still open to suggestions. I guess we probably should've gotten this work in sooner than right before racing season lol
iwashmycar
My buddy Colt is very skilled. I think he may do mobile work as well. https://midnightsteel-welding.com/ I know another random kid from Facebook who is inexpensive and mobile, but its more of a 'git-er-done' sort of work....so maybe not the best call, except for just getting some stuff stuck together. Nice, looks like your first buddy can handle this kind of work no problem. Do you know if he's glued in subframe connectors before? Those are my only real concern, but I'm probably just being paranoid(this chassis is straight and CLEAN underneath - don't want to screw it up lol). Might get ahold of him pretty soon.
