carl1647545492 Posted December 30, 2020 Author Report Share Posted December 30, 2020 It is and could have really spent more time there going inside the visitor center that closed at 4.30,the fort area and other exhibits were closed from Hurricane Florence but will open next year. You can imagine the routine they had was pretty boring but were kept busy by doing patrols drilling and such,sleeping arrangements were pretty tight. Bread oven? I visited the USS Wisconsin in Norfolk VA and the USS Yorktown in Charlestown SC years ago.
