BBQdDude
My daughter in law is looking at a 2019 Suby WRX limited with 45K miles It has been a while since I have owned one. I think before she buys she should get a leak down and compression test. Sound advise or no? If that is a yes where in Zanesville would be a good shop to have the two tests done at? I know nothing about Zanneyville
STEVE-O
No , it’s under drivetrain warranty
street pilot
No , it’s under drivetrain warranty Agree but you might have difficulty proving maintenance if the seller is not including oil change receipts, etc. You might consider adding the Subaru "Added Security" extended warranty. Mine paid for itself, and it's transferrable/(partially) refundable.
Tractor
I think a compression test on a 3yr old car with relatively low miles would normally be "looking for problems that don't exist", however in this crazy market I guess its possible that your looking at a "best of whats left" situation so maybe its not to much to check it. While your looking for trouble you could get an oil analysis done as well. Being mostly serious.
