jerrodh
Title... Haven't scraped a car in a long while just wondering if anyone knows a rough estimate. Side question I have newer tires with nice (stock but nice) rims on it. Anyone have any luck with selling them as a cash + trade for your junk tires/wheels so it could still roll or should I not even bother? Tires have less than 10k on them and look perfect. I'm in Cleveland too so sorry if anyone's interested in either option.
STEVE-O
Few Hundo for scrap and they will actually charge you of it has tires on it here. Best bang is to remove the cat and sell it separate toss junk wheels on it if you can and remove them right before they take it for the scrap heap at the yard
Green Bastard
Take a cordless impact with you when you take it for scrap and let them know you want to keep the wheels. They will usually lift it so you can zip them off.
Tractor
They let you sell a cat up there? They just made it very hard to do here in SC. You'd have to prove where you got it for sure and even have a scrappers permit in my county.
Furloaf
I got $350 for an 05 Mazda 3. They asked if it had the cat and alum wheels - yes. Came and towed it away. This was 4 or 5 months ago.
