magley64
I'd try one...not buying unless I REALLY like the demo.
Disclaimer
Rear tire too small.Carbed? 39mm Mikunis. They make both TBs and carbs, but it doesn't say which this has.Puts out less power than an SV650...at a premium price.
Goldie
They definitely played the angles in the design. I'm not sure what I think about it.
siggywiggy
if it had a good powerplant, then not bad. 70 some horsepower....eek! ducati was running 80 horspower on a 750 back in the 70's. Its a sportbike...beef up the motor.
CleaveTheGreat
Not impressed...especially for the price. Doesn't look bad but the engine is a joke. 650 twin on a 'sportbike'? No thanks. I really wish an American company would make a respectable sportbike...
Tpoppa
Fischer and Motoczysz have been trying to get to market for years. I hope they succeed.

Tpoppa
$8k for a 650 twin with Ohlins isn't too bad. I'll bet it would be a handy tool for class racing & corner carving. But they do need to get an updated FI system.Edit:not really clear, but maybe it has FI.Fuel ManagementDual Mikuni 39mmIgnitionComputer-controlled digital with variable mapping Edited August 4, 2009 by Tpoppa
Zach
you just don't get it.Their direct competition has them beat in every way.Who's their direct competition?SV650 and Ninja 650All three make similar power and have similar abilities on track. Some of the BEST racing in the world takes place on twins. This bike is not intended to be in the middle of the supersport pissing match. That game is ridiculous and those bikes are overkill for 90% of street riders. The MRX is not meant to compete against gixxers, ninjas or cbrs. It's meant to be a bike with an extremely competent chassis and a motor that does everything well- superlegal speeds notwithstanding. RC51 John
Are they using their own motors or is this a Bimota type thing?
kawi kid
it looks nice............. but how does it run??
exSRAaron
meh...finish looks very "American" IMO...power output is good for a 650 tho. The SV650 only puts out between 70-78hp i believe...we need more close-ups. Edited August 6, 2009 by exSRAaron
Ryan_c_F
it looks nice............. but how does it run??I'd wager it'd be pretty goddamn quick. Horsepower doesn't seem like much... until you realize it only weighs +-370 lbs wet. I'd imagine it accelerates like a bastard.

V4junkie
And Hyosung gets their motors from where? Last time I checked (which wasn't that recently) they wouldn't give up their source. I don't think the motor is Hyosung's issue, it's finish. This thing is good looking, it needs to get some visibility in a 650ish twin series. I'd rock it if I was looking for a first bike.
