ReconRat
I like my Converse swat/emt/duty boots. Last longer than the Bates.Heavy padded/protected but a bit hot on a hot day.Regular canvas and leather side-zip combat boots for hot days.Although the $40 Chinese pair I got feel like tennis shoes and wore out quickly.Comfy, but probably next to nothing for protection. drew95gt
I use a leather "swat" tactical type of boot (don't remember the brand). They are very durable and very well padded. I think they would hold up pretty well in a reasonable crash, plus they are comfortable enough to wear around off of the bike.
