Ocyrus
I bought two throttle cables for my '77 KZ1000B. For some reason it seems about an inch too short on one end once I hook the other end up. I tried to adjust it out as far as it will go but it's not enough. The Pony says that is the only one they show for my bike. Any suggestions?
ponyjr
Are the bars stock? You might also want to check that the routing on the cable is correct.
ReconRat
Check the length against the one you took off. If they are the same, the routing isn't right. Common problem, happens a lot. There should be a description or diagram in the service manual.
Ocyrus
The Bars are not stock. I have drag bars so the cables do not feed thru the bars. The routing is correct and simple. I can get the cable to rest in the holder/guide but when I pull the wire itself, the little ball at the end will not quite reach in the hole to operate the carb. Ocyrus
Cables are the same length and routing is very simple and is the same. I removed one at a time to be sure of that.
